King of England or Queen of Pop?

Once the turkey's been stripped down and packed away in the fridge, thoughts often turn to Black Friday and the savings to be had. Not for me, though. No, my thoughts turn to the silver screen and the movies to be seen.

For me -- and many other movie lovers -- Thanksgiving weekend marks the rollout of the best movies of the year, those top-notch films hankering for a spot on the awards lists.

Our time visiting Megan et al is short and won't allow for attending a big screen viewing of a new release as a family, but there's still plenty of time for Jim and me to see one once we've returned home tomorrow. My quandary? Which one to see.

Of the movies being released this weekend, I've narrowed it down to two:

One is a true story of the challenge faced by King George VI:

The other is a musical spectacle featuring a Queen (and grandmother?) of Pop:

Of course, we could always see something that opened earlier this month that we've not yet had time to see, such as this:

Or this:

My, my. Decisions, decisions. I love this time of year!

Maybe we'll just spend all day Sunday seeing them all. Isn't that what holidays are for? Indulgence?

Today's question:

Which of these movies would you choose to see first?
