Picture this: Reflections from a moon child

With the appearance of the super moon and the continuing wild fires that make for wild sunsets, there's certainly been no shortage of photo opps at my place of late.

    Today's question:

Where is your favorite spot to watch the sun set or the moon rise?

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous pics!

Living in Chicagoland, I don't get many opportunities to watch 'a real' sunset or sunrise. My favorite place to watch the sun set is on a beach in Florida. Since the beach is on the Gulf of Mexico side, I haven't yet discovered my favorite place to watch the sun rise. Maybe someday?

We did not get to see the super moon at all--cloud covered and rainy. We did watch a heck of a thunder/lightning storm though.

LOVE your pictures. You and that new camera seem to be getting along really well! My favorite place to watch the sunset is the beach anywhere along the Pacific coast. We are 6 miles from it and I don't do it often enough!

My favorite place to watch the sun set is a little bar in Puerto Vallarta called Las Palomas. Sadly, I heard that it has closed since the last time I was there, after being there for 30 years.

beautiful pictures. But I do hope the fire season calms down. It's so scary to have the forests burn like they are. My favorite place to watch a sunset or a sunrise is on top of the Manti-Lasal Natational forest (Skyline Drive). But I only get up there a few times a year. We went up this week. So pretty.
