    Grandma's grand holiday success

I hope your Christmas was all you hoped it would be. And then some.

I'm pleased to report that the gifts PawDad and I sent to the desert for our grandsons garnered the reaction I hoped they would. And then some.

Bubby and Mac and their Flashlight Friends became fast friends.

Seems those Flashlight Friends — unlike most "As seen on TV" products — do far more than advertised, not less. They not only lit up the room, the smiles they elicited lit up this grandma's heart.

    A grand success all around.

    Today's question:

What holiday successes do you have to report?

With the weather's cooperation, I was able to get down to Pueblo and spend some Christmas time with my kids and grandkids who live down that way.

Also, got to hold and play with my youngest great-grandbaby. Happy, smiling Baby Xyden was exactly five months old on Christmas day!

Then, I got safely home and did NOT have to struggle with ice and snow on the roads like we so often have in this country!

Grandson Augie said the thousand-piece Lego castle set we gave him was "over the top." He danced around the house, showed the box to his other medieval Lego sets, and about the fifth time he thanked us he exclaimed, "How did you guys ever afford that?!?" In other words he liked it. :) Meanwhile his sister Vi is enjoying the new Goldie Blox sets, which introduce girls to engineering concepts through stories that tell you how to make fun little machines. More fun than it sounds, and more engaging - for her, anyway - than the Lego Friends sets.

Forgot to say that Bubby and Mac just get more handsome every day! Love those smiles.

So glad your grandsons enjoyed their gifts!

Our grandson made fast use of the airplane we purchased for him, and our granddaughter loves the karaoke party machine.

However, I think my biggest success was staying awake through the entire day ;)

    Happy December 26!

I think that is the biggest smile I have ever seen on Mac's face! WOW! Did you hit it out of the Grandma park! Good job! Without a doubt my biggest Christmas success with the art set I got for Amara. I love it when we succeed!
