Desert oasis: Boys and their buds

Contrary to what many might believe, residents of the desert must be water worshippers of a most dedicated degree. For when temperatures hover around triple digits for days on end, staying cool in the pool with your pals is pretty much a matter of survival — yet loads of fun, too, as you can see.

God bless the people who invented air conditioning and iced tea. In the house, lounging on the couch, with a good book and drink in hand.

It's been so hot and humid here that my 'anti-fog' progressives have been fogging up!

Best way to stay cool is by eating ice cream!

I stay away from the sun during the day. It's too hot, and I burn too easily.

WOW! Mac is just looking so grown up! No more baby!

My most enjoyable way to stay cool is having a water fight with Amara! Of course sitting inside in air conditioned comfort is pretty good, too just not as much fun! Have a wonderful time!

Cute pics! I agree with Grandma Kc, Baby Mac's looks are changing.

My favorite way to stay cool is sitting under a shady tree, with a cool breeze blowing, reading a good book and drinking a cold one.

In South Texas, it's all about the air conditioning. The heat is brutal. I do think a dip in a pool is way up there on the list.

    Priceless, beautiful and joyful.
