5 thoughts upon my return to the desert

Bubby may be feeling better, but he's clearly not yet over the flu and back to being himself.

The dollar snakes I bought at Walmart and gave Bubby and Mac when they picked me up at the airport were worth every penny (despite them not getting the reference when I told them there were snakes on the plane but a man named Samuel grabbed them all and let me have two for my grandsons).

Mac likes to be front and center when watching television.

Bunnies are to the desert what squirrels are to the mountains.

There's no place better than an indoor fort for enjoying an afternoon snack.

    Today's question:

What is your usual afternoon snack? And for bonus points: Where do you usually eat it?

Every afternoon I stop at Sonic and get a diet cherry limeade. Other than that, it depends on what I have. Usually, I have a protein bar.

I'm glad to hear Bubby is feeling better. Both of Our Little Princesses had mild cases of the flu even though they both had flu shots.

I know you are thrilled to be back with those sweeties! Popcorn on the couch! Though in a fort with my kiddos would be much more fun!

Love the pictures! My afternoon snack is almost always an orange. I am "orange crazy". LOVE them! I eat my orange in my easy chair in the corner. That same place I write, read and have been known to steal an occasional nap.

I am just not an afternoon snacker. But I have to say any snack on those chaise lounges under a fort with those two -- would be tasty and if it wasn't would you notice? Glad Bubby is feeling better and sure hope you don't catch anything!

My afternoon snack and where I eat it varies but I'm happy Bubby even feels like eating one.

Such cute pictures! Hope Bubby gets better soon.

Lately my afternoon snack has been the last of my Christmas cookies. I need to stop that....just until the Girl Scout cookies come out - LOL!

Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt, at my desk :-) (preferred flavors: peach or pear)

Favorite afternoon snack for me is popcorn, and usually while relaxing in my recliner. Glad you're getting a vist with your grandsons. They are so cute!
