A magical moment witnessed during my weekend with Bubby and Mac:

    Today's question:

The adorable little guy who lives next to us has autism. Mommy & Daddy bought him a swing set, but many months later were saddened by the fact that he was afraid of the slide no matter how much they encouraged him.

My Granddaughter was here for a sleepover and she and the little guy were playing together on the swing set. Somehow?? in a matter of minutes...she taught him to go up/down the slide...and he loved it...no fear...just fun! It was a purely magical moment I'll never forget and I don't think his Mommy & Daddy will either. The slide is now little guy's favorite activity on the swing set and much fun to watch...he's so darn cute!

Great pics! I love how Mac shadows his big brother. So cute!

My latest magical moment was hearing my 8-year-old granddaughter play "Fur Elise" on her new keyboard. She's never had lessons, but she's a natural musician.

Wonderful pictures and certainly magical! Mac looks so intrigued by the ducks!

My most magical moment recently was getting to be there to watch Amara sit down at her new desk on the first day of 3rd grade. It was wonderful!

Going down the Giant Slide at the state fair with my granddaughter, just yesterday. (The real magic was making it up all those stairs in the first place.) So much fun!

Great post! Magical moments are wonderful, mine is doing birdwatching long distance with my grandson. During the time we're talking or emailing about birds, it's just him and me. The magic is his excitement.

Taking my 14 month old daughter to the State Fair and seeing her reaction (ick) to cotton candy.

Any time my grandkids are all together, watching them all interact with each other is always a little magical to me.

Lovely pictures Lisa, don't children just love feeding ducks.

My last magical moment was when Lucy cooked dinner with my help, she was so proud of herself.

Handson boys having a wonderful day was special, and the story about the slide was truly great. While we were at the beach this week, my six-year old grandson took my hand while we were walking and said it was good to have a big sister who had his back. I asked what he meant, and he said he told her he was afraid of these four big boys that were pretty rowdy and throwing mud near him. She replied that he shouldn't worry because she'd be watching and take care of him. They periodically have those moments when a five-year difference in age makes a big difference, but mostly it is a warm and supportive relationship between a little brother and a big sister.

They are gorgeous, aren't you the lucky one. Something about little kids and feeding ducks, wonderful.

When my grandson visited last week, we talked about how many grandmas he had. A short time later I found a sign he'd made on an old piece of cardboard, "I have two grandmas. You are one of my favorites."
