The Saturday Post: Shake and fold edition

We're all adults, and we've all learned lots of complicated things in our long and illustrious lives.

But were we ever taught how to properly use a paper towel?

    I know I wasn't; you probably weren't either.

Have no fear, though, for that lesson is here.

    Enjoy.

Shake and fold, my friends, shake and fold.

    Today's question:

Honestly, how many paper towels do you typically take? (I confess to always taking two...at least.)

I only use one because I worry about trees and sometimes just shake my hands dry. Happy Saturday.

You have got to be kidding me. I just cannot believe that I have lived this long without knowing the proper use of a paper towel. Well, now I know and I will try to do better.

I try to just take two, but depends on the mess. And I am one messy cook! LOL

What about those of us who have to wash our hands about 17,000 times a day from petting two cats and two dogs?

I'll try to be a little less wasteful when drying my hands from now on; thanks for the instructions.

What I hate is when you try to get a towel out of one of those c-fold dispensers and they have it jammed so full you can't possibly get out only one towel! At home I have gotten much better about grabbing hand/kitchen towels instead of paper towels but that video will certainly remind me to do better!!! 12 shakes?????????

Grandma Kc: Yeah, 12 shakes seems a bit excessive. I think he was just being funny. Well, funny in the way of his oh-so dry sense of humor is funny. He was right, though, that we all will probably think of him and his lesson next time we grab a paper towel. :-D

    Happy Saturday, everyone!

Thanks for posting.....that brought a smile to my lips this morning. At home I try and use just one paper towel, probably because they are so expensive! But I have to confess too that when I'm somewhere and use the automatic dispenser....I let it roll out twice. I'll have to remember his words!

Oh my! I'm not going to admit how many paper towels I take, but suffice it to say it's far more than one. I'm going to try his method. It makes sense.

LOL! My husband could have taught this lesson as he hates waste of any kind. I usually use two paper towels at a time :)

Lol! That was funny, informative but funny. I'm a 2 toweler usually in a public restroom. BUT, I consider paper towels a luxery item at home. You can do with out them, use a cloth. I use them very sparingly.
