My favorite birthday dessert is homemade cherry cobbler but I will gladly eat chocolate cake if I can't have cobbler. I do love my chocolate! And Terri -- I have an awesome recipe for Carrot cake I will email you! You will have to get someone there to bake it for you!

Well that's hard to narrow down but I would have to say Cheese cake, Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, and Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.Hmmm, I'm beginning to see the common thread in my answers, maybe I should just skip the cake and go start for the frosting :) And yes Lisa, what kind of cake did you have?
I know your birthday must have been perfect with those cuties there! My favorite is chocolate with vanilla buttercream frosting.

There is a wonderful chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cake at Costco. That could easily be my favorite. I like their red velvet cake too. They also have a tuxedo cake. Oh, well! Chocolate.
If I'm going to be perfectly honest, the cake can be any flavor - it's the icing I love.
Thank you for the birthday wishes, everyone. It was indeed a nice day, despite the sadness, anxiety and worry associated with the wildfire. Grandkids have a way of taking your mind off things, at least a bit.
