The Saturday Post: Egg inspiration edition

Tonight Jim, Brianna, Andrea and I will color our Easter eggs. I thought I was being fairly creative by breaking with tradition and buying all we need to try decorating our eggs using Kool Aid. Well, let's just say our colorful eggs to come ain't got nothing on these interesting creations, some of which I plan to try out next year.

    Today's question:

What is your most tried and true egg-decorating technique?

They were all very creative ideas for decorating Easter eggs, Lisa! I'd like to try the napkin idea as it is easy to find so many wonderful designs in napkins .

Hope you and your family have a very happy and blessed Easter!

    Those are beautiful!
My "Tried and True" does not contain any "technique" really, just the old-fashioned color buttons dissolved in vinegar water--short term dip equals pastel, long soak makes rich, dark color. That's all.

I colored Easter eggs with Granddaughter yesterday. Do I sound old if I admit I was confused in the Easter aisle when faced with glitter, glue, paint, etc. Why the heck must it be so complicated now?!

Ended up going with the old-fashioned, classic Paas kit w/stickers & added vinegar. Creative enough for us & we had a great time. Will try to add FB link to my name, so you can see her smile:):) Happy Easter!

Hi Lisa and Happy Easter! Have you made the confetti eggs yet? LOVED those!
I have no tried and true egg decorating tips. I am the worst egg decorator that ever was. All my eggs end up chipped or just very ugly. I gave up. I just reach for the chocolate now. LOL

Those eggs are beautiful. I'm not very creative so my most tried and true way of decorating Easter eggs is like Ann's...just the color buttons and vinegar! They come out pretty every time. Happy Easter to you and your family!

How cool! Jenna actually did the tie eggs this year. She went to Goodwill and got a bunch of ties and they came out just fabulous! I can't wait to share this video with her -- she will love all of those ideas. Thanks and have a very Happy Easter!!!
