    Photo replay: The obsession continues

Thursday was dress-up day for Bubby at preschool. All the kids were to dress as their favorite character from a book. Megan checked in advance and all books—including comic books—were acceptable inspiration.

Naturally, Bubby chose the following character:

Clearly my grandson has an obsession. One my daughter is enabling, to be sure.

    Today's question:

Who is your current favorite character from a book? (And don't worry—I won't expect you to dress like him or her.)

He looks amazing. It is such fun to dress up!

This reminds me! I pinned something for you/Bubby after your first post. Try clicking on my name otherwise it's found under my Grandson board. The @ in your Pinterest name throws me off every time:)

Can't say that I have a favorite book character right now. When I was younger I idolized Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden.

I do enjoy Kathy Bates' character on Harry's Law. Smart, hardworking, unpretentious, and fighting for truth and justice. Plus, she's not obsessed with her weight. Love her!

I rather love Brienne of Tarth from the Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones) series. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Bubby looks like a huggable Super Hero!

Even after all these years since I first read her story, no one has replaced Sacajawea as my all-time favorite heroine. I could never have had her courage and stamina to lead Lewis and Clark on their expedition westward nor could I have been a guide and interpreter way back in those long-ago days (I'd have been scared to death, especially having a baby and dragging him along).

Very cute! I totally enabled my son's superhero obsession. He couldn't go a waking hour without a cape, which was usually a dish towel. Finally I gave in and made him some capes so that he didn't get such strange looks from folks at the supermarket. Paired with the proper T-shirt, the capes made his superhero obsession immediately obvious.

Lisbeth from the Stieg Larsson books is a really well-drawn character.

That is one super Super Man!!

I think my favorite book character has always been Thumper from Bambi. "If you can't say nothing nice, don't say nothing at all! "

My granddaughter's favorite characters have been Dorothy, Princess Leia, and Smaug the Dragon (from The Hobbit). Augie loved being Max from Where the Wild Things Are; his paternal grandma made him a wolf suit (and a bigger one when he outgrew the first). I was honored to be assigned the role of Glinda the Good Witch in ViMae's cast of Oz characters. :-)

    He looks so cute Lisa.

Not sure who I would like to dress up as though at the moment it would have to be Judi Dench in her role in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

    Cutest Batman Ever!

How cute. Many years ago I sewed a much less impressive Batman costume for my young son. The legend lives on.

My current favorite character in Aminata from a book I just read, "Someone Knows My Name". She is a truly amazing heroine from a book that is well worth reading.
