The Saturday Post: Everlasting Christmas Movie Montage edition
Saturday, December 8, 2012 If you're in the mood for a holiday movie—and who isn't?—take your pick from one of these. Or just enjoy the montage, for it's pretty well done.
My only complaint? Where's the hilarious and sweet Nativity!? That's okay, though, since I already have that one—a new seasonal must-see—on my agenda for this weekend.
Merry movie watching!
Today's question:
What's your go-to, must-see, it's-not-Christmas-without-at-least-one-viewing movie or holiday special?

As I wrote on Monday, my favorite has always been Miracle on 34th Street, but I do not watch it every year. There are so many good Christmas movies, but I am happier viewing them only every few years.
Oh gosh I love all the Christmas movies. I've not seen "Nativity"...since you recommend it, I must see it! Every Christmas I must see Bill Murray's Scrooged, Christmas Vacation, It's a Wonderful Life and ELF. I've introduced "Prancer" to my granddaughter and she loves it. Have a great weekend!
I love all the old Christmas movies (because I'm old) but was surprised a few years ago by how much I liked The Polar Express with Tom Hanks. Now I'd like to see it again.
Everybody have a good season of getting ready and have a delightful Christmas Eve & Day!
It's a Wonderful Life, what a difference one person can make.
I have to see "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott every Christmas. In fact, I usually view it on Christmas Eve with a cup of coffee laced with Baileys.
My other favorite Christmas movie is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"... You just can't beat the Griswold's for good wholesome family laughs.
I sound like such a Scrooge but I just don't have a favorite Christmas movie. Loved the montage!
Has anyone seen The Family Man? I love that movie.Similar to "It's a Wonderful Life" with Nicolas Cage in a very Jimmy Stewart-like role.
I love Christmas movies and even watch several of Hallmark's holiday presentations on TV. But, I always watch White Christmas late at night all by myself and almost always catch the Griswolds and rockets red glare with my husband. Great time of year.
I'm not a Christmas movie person either, Grandma Kc. I do enjoy reading Mr. Willoughby's Christmas Tree, Santa Mouse and The Night Before Christmas with the grandkids. Does that count?
It's a Wonderful Life is my all time favorite.
We have become fans of the Muppets Christmas Carol but there were so many great movies represented on the montage, there are many at the top of my list along side it. BTW, did you notice the scene from the Godfather with Diane Keeton and Al Pacino - had to admire the originality of the person who found that clip!
