    Fare thee well

Last evening, PawDad and I had a farewell chit-chat on the trampoline with Bubby and Mac.

This morning, we're on our way home.

Farewell to thee, farewell to thee
Thou charming one who dwells in shaded bowers
One fond embrace ere I depart
    Until we meet again.

          ~Queen Lydia Kamakaeha Lili’uokalani

    Today's fill-in-the-blank:

I recently bid farewell to _________.

I love your quote today. Did you know that it was from our famous Hawaiian song "Aloha Oe" written by Queen Lili'uokalani? Very sad song.

We recently big farewell to my husband's father, who passed away in May. Miss him everyday.

Sandy. I had 6 wonderful days in Michigan and waking up without her to share coffee with is hard to accept. If she only had decent internet access we could share coffee and video chat but we get so frustrated with disconnecting that we've given up for now!

I'm so glad you had this time with them, even if you have to say goodbye.
I bid farewell to my son, Sean, who moved 1522 miles away!

I haven't had to say goodbye to any family or friends, but I did have to put my vegetable garden to bed for the year today. And it is sad to pull out all your plants and toss them. But, we spread lots of good stuff on top and covered it up until spring. For an obsessed master gardener who is not looking forward to a long winter, it was a downer. Oh well, moving right along to the crafting and sewing season. Your boys sure are cute!

Lovey photos Lisa, loved the poetry thank you for sharing.

I recently said goodbye to my brother as he was passing through Wellington on his way down to the South Island. It was lovely to spend an hour with him as he lives some distance from me.

"Paw Dad," that's really cute. When I was a kid I always called my grandmother's second husband "Superpop." I was too young at the time to see my granmother's savvy branding...because "Step grandpa" sounds just awful. =P

"I recently bid farewell to _paper to-do lists__." Yup, gone digital. I hope it works!
