The Saturday Post: Life-lesson edition
A life lesson from a volunteer firefighter:
Happy Saturday!
Today's question:
For whom or what will you make a difference — big or small — today, tomorrow, next week?
Folks you'll hear from and about:

Lisa (me) and Jim (long-time hubby)
Brianna (oldest daughter) and Andrea (youngest daughter)
Preston (son-in-law) and Megan (middle daughter)
Bubby and Baby Mac (Gramma's favorite boys—children of Megan & Preston)

I don't know for whom I might make a difference but, remembering that sweet video, I know I will be ready to step up and do whatever little thing I can to help whomever I can.
Thank you for it, Lisa; it's already made a difference for my day.
I sure hope I can make a difference, somehow. Will have to see what opportunities present themselves.
Have a lovely weekend!
That video really does make you stop and think -- it is often the little things that make such a huge difference to someone. I'm not sure to whom I will make a difference this week but I really hope I will and that video will sure make me look for ways to make that happen! Thanks!
That video was a wonderful way to start the weekend! Thanks for posting, Lisa.
I'm certainly not as heroic as a firefighter and I'm pretty limited on time between caring for my Mom, helping with the Grandkids, keeping up with friends, running a household and a company, and meddling in my daughters' lives...but...
The one (admittedly tiny) thing that I know I will do today, tomorrow, and every day in the future is smile at a total stranger. I will say thank you to a tired store clerk, wish someone with a sad face a wonderful day, tell someone how beautiful they look, take the time to offer the respect due an elderly person, and try to share as many smiles as I can.
I've done this for years now and I have no idea if it makes a bit of difference in anyone's life but mine, but I hope so.
I enjoyed the video and my husband (retired firefighter) got a laugh at that "hero" pose!
I'm not sure what the day will bring as far as making a difference but sometimes just saying "thank you" or giving a stranger a smile will do it. I know it makes a difference to me.
Video is great! Today, tomorrow, next week, and for the next six months I will be putting together care packages. They are for one of my biggest hero's and his mates. My oldest Son, the daddy of my youngest grandson, is yet again headed for the Middle East on 31 July. I try to send him a box of goodies every week for him and to share. As it pulls closer to the holiday's I add small wrapped things like puzzle books, card games, etc, so that the boy's and girl's are not left out of the holiday's. I make sure they are small enough they can pocket them and go in an instant. And I add my husband to my list of hero's, he is also prior military, but the biggest reason he is my hero is he puts up with me!
