Cooling it down
I'm hot. You're hot. Bubby is hot.
Or, Bubby was hot.
Now he's cool.
And he's here to share the cool with all of us:

Aaahhhh! Don't you feel so much better now?
I do!
Oh-so-cool photos courtesy of Megan.
Today's question:
How have you been cooling down in the crazy-hot heat of the past week?

Hanging out in my brother's air-conditioned home, visiting with my niece and nephew.
I DO feel much better now. I was sure wishing for one of those fountain things in our office on Monday and Tuesday. Yeesh!
We've been sticking close to our portable A/C this week. And I took a fan to work. I'm ready for fall!
Those pics are delightful! Makes me want to go swimming. I enjoy the air-conditioning when it's hot. And it's hot a long time.
I was in a car wreck 2 weeks ago tomorrow, my doc had me ice packing the torn muscle in my shoulder. Discovered it not only made my shoulder feel better but it also made me feel better in the triple digit heat. The shoulder is fine now but I will admit I am still carrying the ice pack and when I get hot I place it on the back of my neck and cool right down.
Bubby really is Super Cool!
Fortunately the area of Southern California that we live in has NOT been having the heat wave everyone else is having. It has been in the high 80s but only got above 90 a little bit -- I will not complain at all. But I must admit, Bubby's idea looks like fun anyway!
Yes, I feel all cooled off after seeing Bubby enjoy himself so much; he's SO cute!
I'm doing the usual survival things: closing blinds on the sunny side, running a fan and watching for the afternoon thunder storms so I can coax that huge crazy Akita inside before he goes APE from the thunder!
Bubby looks so happy and cool! I'm running errands in the mornings and staying inside the rest of the day.
Like Ann, I;m sitting near fans and waiting for it to rain to cool things down.
Those are great pics of Bubby....he sure is getting big.
cool sprinklers! I just stay in my air conditioned house during the hottest part of the day.
Air conditioning is a necessity where I live. But I cooled off by visiting the mountains for a week. It was still a bit hot during the day, but nothing like getting cooked in Texas!
Man that looks good! the pics are really cute.
I sure wished they would have had such a thing when my kids were little. In the Arizona heat you have to stay indoors or be in the water to be outdoors. Our cars turn into ovens when they are parked outdoors and they take forever to cool off not to mention the burns you can get by touching any metal surface such as the seat belts!
At home the ac is set to 76 and we have ceiling fans in every room.We keep our cool until the electric bill shows up!
I've just been reading about everyone else in the country melting in the heat. We've barely hit 70. And our sun has been random at best. I wish all you suffering in the heat could send us just a few degrees to level things out!
Air conditioning and iced tea!
Lovely photos, thanks for sharing them Lisa. Actually makes me feel colder as its winter in New Zealand.
I changed my walking time to 6:00 a.m. as it's still cool enough and just turning light. The rest of the day I stay indoors attached to my oxygen machine and whirr up some ice chips in my blender and eat it with a spoon. It's kinda like an icee without all the sugar. Hope everyone is staying cool out there.
