    Birthday redux

One of the great things about Megan having spring break this time of year is that she and Bubby get to share in the birthday festivities for PawDad ... as long as we stretch out the festivities until they're present. And this year we did, as the highlight of PawDad's 50th birthday was a family party at Chuck E Cheese — Bubby's first time there and PawDad's first birthday party there.

It was truly a memorable 50th birthday celebration!

    Today's question:

What is your favorite birthday party spot, for children or adults?

Great pictures! Looks like you had a great celebration! I was thinking of you while we had our cake yesterday!

My favorite Birthday place is anywhere it's being held; so nice to see any of my Honey-buns all smiling and happy. Just missing seeing my pretty Lisa in pictures, knowing she's nearly always the photographer.

PawDad is a great sport to celebrate at Chuck E Cheese. I like birthday parties in outdoor settings, when the weather permits. A backyard, a park, a patio--where the kids can run around. But I understand why some kids love Chuck E. Cheese, although one of my kids was scared of the giant characters.

A 50th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese?! That's pure awesomeness!

Love your pictures, as usual! Looked like fun fun fun!

My favorite place for a birthday party is anywhere they have the cake. I just like birthdays and cake!

What a great treat for Jim, to have Bubby there. Personally, I think active birthday parties are great, everyone doing something, be that skiing, sightseeing, rafting or Wii bowling. If that that, however, I love a great party at home, where it can be whatever you want it to be.

A good restaurant with fun music and good atmosphere. And yummy drinks. :)

My daughter brought me to a remote waterfall in the rainforest this b'day. Then we had a bonfire that night. I have to say it was a spectacular way to celebrate! Cute pics.

Love the pictures. I know how it is not to be in many the photographs, since I'm usually the one behind the camera too. Actually I would rather film everyone else. lol I love to celebrate however my family wants to, just as long as I can still wake up each morning and celebrate another year. :)

It looks like a great time! Happy Birthday to PawDad.

We just celebrated two birthdays this weekend. One at a restaurant in our own private room. That certainly had it's perks by not having to worry about the noise and the mess that 12 of our dinner guests who were 10 and under made. When it was over the mess was left for someone else to clean up.

On Saturday we had a full blown cowboy day celebrating my 3 ;year old grandsons birthday. It was outdoors with smokers filled with ribs, pony rides, borrowed farm animals for a petty zoo. Kids ran free throughout the acre back yard. When it was over everyone pitched in to help with clean up.

Great time was had at both. I guess my favorite spot is anywhere that I am part of a celebration with those I love the most!

    How neat!

We're afraid of the Chucky Cheese in our area - too many . . . uh. . . fights, among the adults. Some involving weapons. Nice, hey?

I like outdoor parties - I ike "at home" parties, crowding into the kitchen/dining room, balancing the cake & ice cream on a flimsy paper plate, the coffee pot continually perking - kids racing in and out swiping icing off the cake, trying to snag one of those big sugar roses.

Heck. It doesn't matter where the party's held - just bring on the cake!!!

For kids parties I prefer a restaurant or other place where someone else does the work. I had Nick's parties at McDonald's until he got old enough to tell me "Mom, I'm too old for McDonald's."

For adults, I like to host the party at home. A home cooked meal and a home-made cake makes the perfect party.

I love that Pawdad had his party at Chuck E. Cheese. What a terrific grandfather.

Happy belated birthday wishes to Pawdad! It's so nice you were all able to celebrate together!

My kids loved parties at Chuck E Cheese! When they were older they like bowling parties or ice skating parties or sleepovers.

MY grandaon had his second BD party in a indoor play gym.
