    Toddler gratitude

As a Thanksgiving activity, Bubby and his preschool classmates crafted turkeys made of footprints and feathers. On each work of art, the teacher wrote what each toddler said he or she was thankful for.

Here is a photo of Bubby's masterpiece:

Did you catch what Bubby is thankful for? Bath toys. Yes, bath toys! Nary a mention of a loving Mommy and Daddy, an adorable baby brother, a cozy home, abundant health, always having plenty to eat.

And that's okay. Because, at three years old, Bubby surely takes for granted that all little boys, all little girls have such things.

At three years old, Bubby is blissfully unaware of the profundity of his good fortune, his bountiful blessings.

At three years old, Bubby surely has no idea that life could be any different.

For that, I am truly grateful.

    Today's question:

Name one thing from your day so far that you're grateful for?

As soon as I read "bath toys" my mind went in the same direction as yours...what a blessing to take so much for granted that little things like bath toys seem to be the extras in life to be thankful about. May his life stay that uncomplicated for a long time.

Olga's comment put into words, more succinctly than I could have, my feelings, exactly. Bubby sure made a cute turkey.
I'm thankful that the snow which greeted me this morning was only over my dogs' feet, not over my knees, making the Swiffer-ing of the kitchen floor a bit less likely to completely overtake my day.

I am truly thankful that both my husband and I arrived safely to work this morning. (Even though it took 2 hours for me and closer to 2 1/2 for him!!)

Love Bubby's artwork! Bath toys are so much fun!

I am very thankful for my coffee. VERY thankful I don't have snow! And thankful that the winds so cal is experiencing didn't do any damage to me or the people I love.

What a lucky child! It is sad for us as adults to know that there are so many children out there who cannot take those things for granted. Give thanks for all those who can take Momma and Daddy for granted, and remember those children who can't. Thank you for the post (adorable craft!)

We were right in the middle of Utah's 102 miles hours winds. We were on the National news. Many of my neighbors lost trees, fences, roof tiles and siding. (Some here even had their tree come crashing down on their car!)

I'm grateful I didn't lose any of my wonderful trees and only about 6 feet of my wood fence came down.

    Cute turkey!

That's funny. When my oldest was in preschool, the class did the same thing and they were posted on the wall. All the other kids were thankful for their parents and baby brothers and sisters. My daughter's said, "I am thankful for Barbies."
