Reason No. 116 why I love where I live
This was my view while walking my dogs yesterday:

America's Mountain: Pikes Peak
Yep, I love where I live.
Today's question:
What is the view from your street today?
Folks you'll hear from and about:

Lisa (me) and Jim (long-time hubby)
Brianna (oldest daughter) and Andrea (youngest daughter)
Preston (son-in-law) and Megan (middle daughter)
Bubby and Baby Mac (Gramma's favorite boys—children of Megan & Preston)

That is an awesome view.
Can't imagine seeing that view every morning!
Unfortunately, there's a lot of traffic from where I'm sitting...
Nonnie Kelly I can't see that from inside my house. Wish I could. Gotta go walking for that (or driving). Mostly, from inside my house, I see a neighbor's trashy yard. :-(
First time commenting on your blog; I love the name; how cute!! You live in a great part of the country! I haven't been visiting there for about 10 years, but always a gorgeous place to go! Have a great weekend!
betty
I have rolling New Hampshire hills from my front window. Not as spectacular by a long shot. Wanna trade?
Let me add... How can that spectacular locale be so far down your list? 116? There must be a Yellow Brick Road outside your front door :0)
John: Ha. Not that far down on my list...I've just mentioned 115 before this...or so it feels. Unfortunately, a yellow brick road was never one of those previously mentioned. I'll keep looking though!
Beautiful picture....I love this time of year out here. The view out of my front window is my tree in my front yard turning beautiful gold and all the trees up and down my street turning the same color. I'm afraid that soon all the leaves will be on my street.
There's a little strip park across the street from my house but the little mama deer, with her twin fawns, who walks through my front yard fascinates me frequently; my next door neighbor told me about the time, when the twins were younger, she watched little mama nursing her babies in her front yard. I love my wildlife visitors.
Funny you should ask :) I just posted a ton of photos of our beautiful Fall colors on our farm blog.
We don't have quite as much *blue* in our views, though :)
I'm reading your "briefs" for the first time and loving it - you're a great read.
If I stand in the middle of our street I can see down to the golf course where the sun is blazing and the sky is a beautiful blue. It was 97 yesterday and it is supposed to drop to 80 today -- no fall leaves here. I miss the beautiful colors -- I will not miss the snow!
Wow! I love where you live too - awesome! Don't have a photo for today for our view but we're on a little street in Santa Rosa and it's pretty much next to the country side .... here was our view a couple months back...

pretty funny!
I like your reasons to love where you live - count your blessings!!
Beautiful scenery when looking out your window. Loved it when I lived in the mountains.
When I look out my window I see a beautiful apartment complex with lovely landscaping. To my left is a field of tall pines. Hmmm perhaps I need to start collecting pine needles and try basket making.
At the end of my street is the Patuxent River. I have a seasonal view from my bedroom window!
My son went to Denver last month and got some beautiful pictures from Pikes Peak.
Beautiful view. We live in Castle Rock and have a great view too. I always try to remember to stop and look, when life is busy sometimes I forget.
Beautiful Utah mountains. The leaves are turning fall colors. At night a full moon coming over those mountains is thrilling. If I drive a short way up the hill I can see the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island. I am 10 miles from Salt Lake City but I am surrounded by a rural atmosphere with open fields of horses, a few cows, an occasional donkey, chickens and peacocks. There is a National Park not too far to the east with pine trees and a nice stream and a large pond with fishing a couple of miles to the west.
I think I like where I live too. I love your mountains too.
This was the view out our back window from about 1959 to 1964. Instead of trees we could just see the Garden of the Gods in the distant foreground. When we climbed up to the formation we called Dog's Eye we could see the whole valley, including our house spread out before us. Until I started high school downtown at Palmer in 1963 I could see this view pretty much anytime I was outdoors. On winter afternoons at West Jr. High in oldtown you could judge the likelihood of a snow day tomorrow by whether you could see Cheyenne Mountain and the terrain in between. In the summer we watched thunderstorms come in over the mountains. Thanks for the memories!!!
