The next Grilled Grandma

Karen is our Grilled Grandma this week, and, like me, she's a long-distance grandma. Her grandkiddos are older than my little Bubby, so she's able to do some pretty cool things with the kids when they get together, things that I now plan to do with Bubby -- and all others to come. When they're old enough to use scissors and glue, that is.

In particular, I love Karen's idea of spending their last day of a visit making scrapbooks of all the fun they had together. "It is an all day project," Karen says, "but they have a cool keepsake of their visit with me."

Karen lives an interesting life and has a fierce dedication to her grandchildren. Read all about her HERE. And feel free to leave her some comment love to let her know you stopped by.

And, as always, if you know a grandma you'd like grilled, send me her first name and e-mail address and I'll get her grilled up for ya -- as long as she's willing, of course.

Today's question:

What are you thankful you're NOT doing right now?

I'm thankful I'm not shoveling snow in the sub-freezing temps outside. But I really should be shoveling, so that thankfulness is tempered by guilt.

What a cool idea about the scrapbooks. I am glad I am not curled up in bed with stomach pains from medicine I was taking.
