The Saturday Post: Winter Wonderland
Eighteen years ago, we used a mammoth-sized camcorder to create a VHS recording of a Christmas production for Jim's dad for Christmas. Every year since, the Lennon Sisters' version of "Winter Wonderland" has been one of my favorite Christmas songs, only because it brings to mind my three goofy girls singing their hearts out -- and elbowing each other for center stage -- in hopes of making Christmas merry and bright for Grandpa and Grandma Carpenter.
Holiday question of the day:
Of all the musical instruments, which do you think is most fitting for Christmas music?

They did a great job! How fun that they have this to look back on and share with their children. Reminded me of my daughter and her cousins and friends at that age. Adorable!
I love the piano playing Christmas songs.
That is such an adorable video! Your girls are so talented. We had a mammoth camcorder too. It's in a closet somewhere in the house....I'm not sure how to get rid of it.
I like piano music too but most of all I like choirs at Christmas time.
Wonderful video! My favorite instrument, for any music, is the cello. I think that it makes the most beautiful sound in the world! BTW, I have an award for you at my blog: http://emptynest1.blogspot.com/
Love it! Did you choreograph it for them? ;-)
The organ will forever be THE musical instrument associated with Christmas for me. Too many Christmas hymns sung in Church.
Thanks, ladies. Yeah, I'm partial to piano, too. Although a capella hits the spot, too, if the voices can handle it.
AMBER: Choreography? Moi? You betcha! :o)
PAM: Thank you for the award! So sweet!!
Thank you for sharing that wonderful clip! What a great job - the girls are quite talented!! It brought back so many wonderful memories of my youth when my siblings and cousins and I would get together and do plays. LOVE IT!!!
