Bubby sucks a purple duck and spreads the news:

Yessiree, Bubby is scheduled to become a big brother June 1, 2011.

I've never before been so excited for seconds!

    Today's question:

What memorable way have you or someone you know announced a pregnancy?

What a darling announcement; I'll bet Mr. Bubby is happy about his soon-to-be status!

My many pregnancies usually announced themselves, long before I was ready to do so.

    Congratulations....I'm very excited for you.
My daughter announced her last pregnancy on her blog with a very cute picture of her 2 girls holding signs.....the younger one's saying "I'm going to be a big sister" and the older one's saying "again"

Hooray! Our daughter announced her second pregnancy (when "big brother" was only 8 months old) by asking me, "How soon can you retire?"

What a beautiful boy! Congratulations on the exciting news.

My oldest is nearly 20 so I've started anticipating the grandma idea. I can wait, but I'll be excited when it happens.

Congratulations on your SITS day. I hope it brings you lots of new followers and tons of comment love.

Off to check out some of your other posts.

    Congratulations!! What great news!

To answer your question: My boss guessed I was pregnant at 7 weeks and she has a big mouth. So even though I wanted to wait longer, I waited only to 8 weeks (Halloween) to tell my coworkers, who were like a family to me anyways so it wasn't too bad. I said I would announce my "costume" at our potluck later that day even though I was just wearing jeans and a sweater. When everyone was there I asked people to gather 'round. Right before my announcement, a coworker asked "Is your costume under your sweater?" Haha. So I announced my costume like this: "I'm a pregnant lady!"

And happy SITS Day to you as well (where I'm visiting from today)!

Awe, my little one has that polkadott'd duck in orange. Hehe.
Congrats on being grandma a SECOND time around! Awesome!
Found you at SITS, totally along for the ride now!

How cool! I don't think I'm going to get any new grandbabies, so I'm a wee bit envious. But I guess seven is a nice number.

My daughter clued me in on her pregnancy by giving me a special gift at Christmas--a pair of baby booties. Lots of parents tuck a ultrasound image into a card or gift to announce the news.

I knew my son and daughter-in-law were having a baby so the day they had the first ultra sound they invited me over to see if it was a boy or girl. It was twin boys! That was a real surprise. They are now 6 years old.

Congratulations! I must have missed this announcement when I was away this weekend. My husband and I are both gemini's :)

I'm expecting grandson number two in March! It will be fun to have two precious little ones to love.
