    Fave photo of the week

One reminder before revealing my favorite photo of the week: You still have time to enter the giveaway for the VisionQuilt Christmas Audio CD Folio. Details HERE.

Now, my favorite photo of the week (chosen this week; not necessarily taken this week):

The prequel: "Boys Who Stare at Goats."

Today's question from "The Christmas Conversation Piece":

During the holiday season, what specific aspect of being a young child do you miss the most?

My answer: Not having to worry about the holiday prep, i.e., gift buying, party scheduling, meal planning.

Twirling around in circles outside in cool air and bright sunshine, a chilled face and warm sweater, hearing "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" blaring on somebody's radio, full of sheer joy and anticipation, arms outstretched and getting gleefully dizzy.

Our family xmas day. Listening/singing Gene Autry Christmas music. Opening presents, and watching my mom and dad's reactions to our gifts, and most of all the Christmas dinner (feast) and prayer from my dad over the bounties and thanks for all we had been bestowed with during the year.

Staying up late to watch "Scrooge" (the Alistair Sim version of "A Christmas Carol). Then laying in bed, listening for the cuckoo clock to strike 1 a.m. I was so afraid I might be visited by the ghosts. Yes. I miss that.

Great pic, Thanks for sharing ;)

As for the christmas question? I miss the magical feeling of Christmas eve, and watching the Grinch on tv snuggled up with my dad!

Hahahahaha! That is a great picture and clever caption, hilarious!

I miss the magic of Christmas when I was a kid, the anticipation, the wonder, and the amazement that Santa did come and leave me what I wanted. Being the magic maker is fun, but I really miss being on the other end!

I'm really loving these Christmas questions!

The excitement of racing down the stairs with my brother and sister to see what Santa brought. It's not the gifts I miss...it's just that THRILL!
