Fave photo of the week

Related Posts with ThumbnailsMy pretty girls, Andie and Brianna, who couldn't make it to the desert to celebrate with us this weekend.

Today's question from "The Christmas Conversation Piece":

If all the Christmas gifts you gave away this year had to be homemade by you, what would you be most likely to make?

My answer: Hmmm ... if we're talking of recipients outside my immediate family, I'd say loaves of Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread. Those in my immediate family would get beautifully handcrafted ... painstakingly considered ... IOUs ... of some sort.

Sweet picture. I would most likely bake but I would rather make something that would last longer so I guess a trip to Michael's would be a great place to start.

I would love to have the stick-to-it-ivness (perseverance) I used to have to work all year to make individual afghans, sweaters, scarves and such like I used to do; the year I made really intricate sweaters for all five of my girls was about twenty-or-so years ago. Nowadays, I just give inexpensive little Grandma-type gifts but I do try to make them really designed for each one's parti-
cular personality.

Your girls are adorable! I would crochet some items, hats, scarves, blankets and I would give baked goods.

Beautiful girls - very cute photo!

I made something new this year that was fun - my husband is an excellent puzzle putter together (what do you call someone with that skill ? :) So he put together some cute puzzles from an artist popular in our area, we matted and framed them! I'm going to blog about it soon - but it fit in perfeclty here :)
