VoiceQuilt giveaway!
I've got something cool to give away! Soon after publishing my post about the VoiceQuilt, I received an e-mail from Holly at VoiceQuilt, offering up a VoiceQuilt Christmas Memories Audio CD Folio ($29.95 value) as a giveaway for my readers. Of course I took Holly up on her offer and now have the giveaway details posted on my Giveaways page. Check it out and enter to win!
On another note, I've not been posting a whole lot about my sweet Bubby lately, since he was down with the horrid flu and photos just weren't in the cards. But he's all better now, for the most part (he's still a tad rundown), and Megan has graciously sent me some recent photos of the cutie.
Here's a shot of Bubby during a visit to the zoo while spending Thanksgiving week with his Nana and Poppy (Preston's parents):

What a big boy, he is! I can't wait to see him -- in TEN DAYS!
And last but not least on this busy Tuesday morning is ...
Today's question from "The Christmas Conversation Piece":
If, as the winner of a Christmas contest, you were given five minutes in one of the following three departments to haul away as many items as you could physically carry out the door, which department would you choose -- consumer electronics, home furnishings and accessories, or sports equipment and attire? (Assume that you cannot solicit the help of a salesperson.)
My answer: I'd be all over that consumer electronics department! I'm pretty sure I could carry a laptop, a Wii and a PS3 without any help from a salesperson!

You'd not believe how many sheet and comforter sets, houseplants and toss pillows my skinny old arms could squeeze around - nor how fast my old legs could run around in a home furnishings
and decor department- nor the muscles I'd sprout, if given such a five minutes!
Electronics all the way! Laptop, a couple iTouches, a DS, DS games, movies, etc!
He is so cute~ I would have to say the home furnishings. We are finishing our basement, getting ready for foster children, so I could use tons of furniture!
He's adorable! It's so great that your daughter keeps you so well stocked in pics. She gets an "atta girl" for that!
Electronics! I'm a gadget girl and I love, love, love learning new toys and software. I can't imagine being let loose like that.
...but I do admit, I'd probably try to stag something out of the home decor as I ran past...my second favorite thing is decorating. I went in to the Pottery Barn store in Chicago and the sales clerk said, "can I help you?". I looked at her and said, "can I live here?". She laughed. And then I said, "oh, never mind, I already do!"
Thanks for the great post!
Too bad books isn't an option. I bet I could carry a lot of books. But it isn't, so I'll go with sports equipment and attire. I need a new ski jacket -- I bet I could put on a lot of workout clothes and drag a punching bag!
While I might be tempted to go to home furnishings and accessories to fill out the gaps in my home decor, I'm pretty sure my husband would divorce me if I didn't take the opportunity to get some free electronics. I wonder if I could strap a 55-inch flat-screen TV to my back?
Great answers! Yep, I agree with Pam on the books ... but would definitely opt out of the sports equipment goodie grab. And yeah, there are quite a few home furnishings I could use, but electronics still top the list for me!
Tracey: Good luck with the foster children!
And Kathy: Good luck with the Pottery Barn living! ;-)
