Friday Haiku Contest Winner!

The theme word in last week's Friday Haiku Contest was THANK (or a variation of) and the winning haiku made festive use of the word. Ladies and gents (do any gents read this?), I give you the winner of the November 6 Friday Haiku Contest:

Leaves, pumpkins, pilgrims,
turkey, stuffing, potatoes.
Thanks, and thanks again!

~ Kris

Congratulations, Kris!

A fun haiku gets a fun prize:

It's that '50s standard we all know and love. Yes, ladies and gentleman, Kris has won Pick-Up Sticks! Yay! Woot-woot! (This is actually a much better prize than ya'll think. When deciding what prize to award this week, I googled this goodie to figure out what year it's from, and I found -- on several sites -- that this little tin o' sticks is worth five times what I paid for it at the antique store! Now that's a prize!)

Congrats, Kris. Contact me to claim your prize.

Anyone who wants to wax creative in hopes of winning a prize in this week's Friday Haiku Contest can find details HERE. Have at it!

I agree with your choice of Kris as winner; her Haiku was so perfectly appropriate and seasonal.
I just wanted to tell Melodie that the poignancy of her entry really spoke to my heart.

Great Haiku! I actually wrote one and forgot to submit it! Typical me. Love the Pick up Stix!
