The next Grilled Grandma

Darlene, aka Mema

Next up for a friendly grilling is Darlene.  She's one of the sweetest grandmas ever -- and I'm not just saying that because she's also my sweet aunt!

As a long-distance grandma myself, the one comment from Darlene that I completely relate to is her response to my question regarding the most challenging part of being a grandma:

"Living so far away from most of them.  I begin to have 'grandbabies' withdrawal symptoms and the only thing that can cure it is seeing the excitement on their faces when they see Mema and Papa driving up in the driveway."

Yep, I definitely have grandbaby withdrawal symptoms on a pretty regular basis -- and the only cure is a visit with my Bubby!

I wish I could give more time to my grandchildren I never feel better then when I'm with my grandkids they are precious. Thus I try to at least talk with each of them or text them weekly.

Nice blog...

Simone: Thanks for stopping by! You can follow me via RSS -- http://www.grandmasbriefs.com/home/rss.xml

Dorothy: I appreciate the comment. I understand completely what you're saying. I can't wait until Bubby is old enough to text ... or even hop on the computer to Skype by himself. Thank God for technology!
