    Friday Haiku Contest Winner!

This week's winner not only conjured up a GHOST-flavored haiku ("ghost" being the theme word, of course), she lives the farthest away from me. So, because I think it's pretty cool that someone across the country joins in my haiku games, AND because she provided a haiku reminiscent of the Halloween-loving kid in all of us, April is this week's winner. Here's her winning entry:

    Witches, goblins, ghost
    Eating up candy and treats,
    Halloween is here!

    ~ April

    Congratulations, April!

For her haiku-ing efforts, April has won a prize I hope will please the witches, goblins and ghosts in her house. It's the HAIR-EE Popball! And forget the photo this week -- I've got a VIDEO of the prize! Take a look at the fun April can look forward to with her very own HAIR-EE Popball:

Wow! (And to think, that's a REAL commercial!) Congratulations, April. E-mail me to claim your prize.

And for anyone else who wants to try their hand at haiku in hopes of winning a similarly grand prize, check out the details for this week's Friday Haiku Contest RIGHT HERE.

This might be something that finds its way onto my Christmas shopping list . . .
