Giveaway and review: Magic Sketch innovative art pad by Boogie Board

My eight-year-old step-grandson loves to draw. And color. And craft. And create.

So when I received a Magic Sketch from Boogie Board free for review, Bud was the perfect product reviewer for this post.

What's a Magic Sketch? It's pretty much the coolest thing ever, Bud deduced after a few minutes with it. Technically, though, the Magic Sketch is a kid-proof, waterproof, innovative art pad that provides a new and exciting screen on which kids can draw, learn, and play.

Then erase with the push of a button and repeat. Again and again.

The Magic Sketch LCD-display tablet retails for $29.95 and comes with:

    •      Protector Guard

    •      1 Roller

    •      3 Stamps

    •      20 Learning Stencils

    •      20 Games Stencils

    •      20 Art Stencils

Bud dove right in, ready to trace a few designs on the art stencils. He was instantly impressed by the rainbow-colored marks made by the stylus thingee, as well as how easy it was to erase and start over.

He tested out a few of the nifty tools:

And worked on his math skills with a few of the learning stencils:

The Magic Sketch made even math fun. And colorful and creative.

Magic Sketch requires no cord or recharging (and has a seven-year battery life!), so it can be used anywhere, in any position.

Magic Sketch can even be used in the car (as this provided pic portrays):

When Bud helps me with product reviews, he usually has to wait until I've published the review before getting to take the product home with him, just in case I need another product shot or info from the package for my review. Not so with the Magic Sketch! Bud was so enamored with the crafty tablet that I couldn't justify making him wait til my work was done. He left my house happy as can be, Magic Sketch and all it's extras firmly in hand.

And from what my daughter told me later, he spent several hours more drawing and learning and playing on the Magic Sketch as soon as he got home.

Yep, coolest thing ever is my product reviewer's final assessment.

Magic Sketch from Boogie Board retails for $29.95 and can be purchased at

Well, I have 9 choices -- which of my 9 grandkids should I give it to? Such a big decision! But, I'll probably give it to a grandson who loves to create.

I'm with Nina! Which of the 9 would I give it to? Well, probably Brielle because she is a little artist! Thanks for a great give away, Lisa. This looks like fun and the price is reasonable!

I have a niece who would think this is the best thing ever. Her favorite thing to play with at my house is my old etch-a-sketch and this looks way more fun!

My youngest grandson loves drawing and art. It is a way for him to feel good about himself as his older brother is more of an athlete and gets a lot of praise from peers because of that. I think he'd love to receive this Magic Sketch! It looks so versatile and fun!

Would love to give this to my seven year old granddaughter. She Ioves drawing and art work. It reminds me of a toy I had many years ago (😉) that had a film on it that when raised would erase what you were drawing. I can't think of the name of it. A fun and innovative toy without technology. As a former early childhood teacher this would be neat to have in the classroom too. Would love to receive it:)

Today was the first time I have heard of this device seen an ad on facebook. went to the website and ordered 2. One for my granddaughter for xmas and the second to donate. The post office employees (my wife) draws names every year to provide Xmas gifts and dinners to unfortunate families. Hence the second one. If I was fortunate to win this drawing then I would donate it to this cause or to the drawings that our church has doing the same thing as the post office does. I love this time of year for this reason. I love seeing the faces of the smiling faces of the child who was not expecting to get gifts . I usually get scolded for going the extra mile or going overboard on these causes. Thank you for listening and Happy Thanksgiving and a more Joyful Merry Christmas

My almost 4 year old son, who goes through reams of paper coloring and drawing and "doing homework" we are in the car a lot talking his older siblings to and from everything I'm sure he'd love this.

My granddaughter who spends hours drawing and coloring. She has a birthday in December and I feel she sometimes gets shorted because of the expense of having two holidays just weeks apart.
